J.S. Bach: Fantasie in G minor, BWV 917

The Fantasie in G minor was originally a work for solo organ. During his career as organist and Kapelmeister at the courts of Weimar, Arnstadt, Mühlhausen, Köthen and Leipzig Bach composed some 10 Fantasies or Fantasias, works where he could show off his skills as organist and composer. This Fantasie in G minor is more of a meditation on a plaintive theme.
