J.S. Bach: Prelude in Suite in A major, BWV 818a
The Suite in A minor, BWV 818a, is an early keyboard work of Bach, dating from the end of his employ under Prince Leopold of Cöthen, just before he left that court for new employment in Leipzig, around 1720/22. The first movement of the Suite, the Prelude, starts majestically, moves moves through typical Bach inspired ruminations, and returns to the grand opening material, bringing the work to a solemn conclusion.
